With support from UNICEF Baylor college of medicine is implementing a 3yr project to strengthen Maternal, Newborn child Adolescent Health HIV/TB and Nutrition services
UNICEF-BAYLOR and the district team had a joint monitoring visit to kyangwali HCIV to check on the activities Baylor Uganda is implementing in the facility in kyangwali subcounty in Kikuube district.
During the Inspection the team looked at the In Patient Department, Out Patient Department, Maternity ward, Laboratory and ART clinic.
Speaking to Timbigamba Justus the facility clinical Officer said the Government aided facility serves both refuges and host communities with a catchment population of 36,531 .
However Dr Irene Nakachwa a doctor from UNICEF applauded baylor for the renderess health services there bringing onto the people of Kyangwali especially on HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention and Control and pledged total support to improve on the lives of people of Kikuube district.
However the Kikuube district Communication officer who sat in for the CAO commended Kyangwali Health Centre IV for the services there rendering to both refuges and host communities. She also thanked UNICEF Baylor for the angagement
