One week ago, Hoima Catholic Diocese through its department of education started expansion work at their Administration space to accommodate a new storied structure so as to provide more office spaces at Hoima Catholic Diocesan Headquarters in Bujumbura.
This was disclosed today, Tuesday, November 23, 2021, by Rev. Fr. Patrick Mugisa, the Diocesan Education Secretary during a stakeholder’s site visit and inspection function held at the site. According to Engineer Allan Kibisi who is the contractor, the construction of a two story house by early December 2021 will have the ground floor done.
This house is expected to host over eight office rooms, a waiting lobby, reception and other modern condominium services.
The entire work is expected to cost over 450 Million Uganda shillings. This amount will single-handedly be donated by Hon. Dr. Patrick Mwesigwa Isingoma (Obama), the member of parliament for Hoima East City Division.
Rev. Fr. Pascal Kihika the head of Hoima Construction Department who are charged with quality assurance was happy because the work progress is reasonably speedy, he is satisfied with the good construction materials being used and was equally satisfied with engineer Kibisi’s expertise that he is employing in this work so far.
Fr. Kihika appreciated the advantage of having a generous person like Dr. Patrick Mwesigwa Isingoma who even hails from another Christian denomination but has sponsored the Hoima Catholic Diocesan project 100% bearing in mind that he is serving humanity at a higher level.
The function was attended by Fr. Lawrence Ayesiga, Director PMS, Ms. Dorcus Akampura of Justice and Peace Commission and Education Department staff.
